New Website Layout
I've been working on some format changes to the website for the last month or so - because I'm learning stuff as I go along, I seem to have spent most of the last few weeks reading up on web design
Anyway, unfortunately I can't mix pages of the new design with pages of the old design at the moment, because of the way I originally structured the website. So the completed pages of the new website are in a different location at the moment. If anybody would like to have a sneak preview and see what I'm doing, here is the link:
new website beta test (new link in next post)

All comments, criticisms, suggestions and bug reports are very welcome - just reply to this post please

The link to 'Website' at the top of this forum still takes you to the old website. The link to nfstallions.info at the bottom right of each page of the new sitewill still take you to the old sitedoesn't work at the moment, but all links to Home will go to the home page on the new site.I've converted all the ancillary pages but only some of the actual stallion pages, so a lot of links will give you a page not found error. You can find out which stallions have been updated by looking at the Site Map - there's a link at the bottom of every page. All pages have now been converted- From now on, any updates to the site will only be done on the new site, not the old one.
- The old site was done in frames, which kept the title and menus always at the top of your screen. I'm now getting rid of the frames which means that the title and menus will now scroll off the top of the screen. To make navigation a bit easier, there are two new buttons - a little house in the bottom left corner which will take you to the home page, and an up-arrow in the bottom right corner which will take you to the top of the current page.

Re: New Website Layout
There seemed to be speed issues on the test site, so I've started another beta test site (!) on a different server. It's exactly the same as the other one (until I update more pages) but hopefully will be a bit faster. Please let me know how you find it

Re: New Website Layout
I am currently in the process of pointing the domain name nfstallions.info to the new site. This may take up to 3 days to propagate over the www, or longer if I've done it wrong!! Meanwhile that address does not work. Please use http://nfstallions.co.uk if you wish to visit the old site.
I have temporarily replaced the Website button at the top of the forum with NewSite and OldSite until such time as the new site is fully operational.

Re: New Website Layout
nfstallions.info now goes to the new website, and
nfstallions.co.uk will continue to go to the old website until all the updates are complete
If you have any problems getting onto nfstallions.info, please try clearing the cache in your browser (especially if you're using firefox). If you need help with how to do that, let me know which browser you're using.

Re: New Website Layout
Reformatting of the website is now complete
http://nfstallions.info points to the new website and http://nfstallions.co.uk points to nfstallions.info (or soon will).
The old website will be deleted shortly and anybody who has saved a bookmark which contains judym.f2s.com/nfstallions should be aware that this will no longer work (I know some people have posted links containing this address on other websites).
